Dumaguete used to pride itself as a storm-free city for decades. It’s yearly rainfall is but a hiccup, at least compared to other Phil cities. But Dumaguete has been experiencing the worst storms the past two years.
This morning, a ship ran aground at the blvd after being battered by huge waves. Worst is, I learned that two cousins and church mates were on board the boat. My wife and I rushed to the holding area of the rescued passengers to search for them and ring clothes and water.
